MAC Renders & Architectural Coatings

Wall warehouse stocks a variety of specialty renders from our distributors at MacRender for use over previously painted masonry surfaces, expanded polystyrene (NRG Greenboard), aerated concrete panels (CSR Hebel) and existing cement renders. Each 20kg bag of MACRender covers approximately 3 - 5 square metres.

With improved properties for application to more demanding masonry and polystyrene based building surfaces, our MACRender products include:

Macrender Medium

MACRender is a Medium grade cementitious render suitable for application to stable and porous masonry surfaces.

Key features include:

• Just add water
• Factory blended for optimum consistency
• Excellent durability
• Improved workability and application properties
• Will not go drummy like traditional sand and cement renders

Macrender Coarse

MACRender Coarse is a coarse grade cementitious render for application to stable and porous masonry surfaces.

Key features include:

• Just add water
• Factory blended for optimum consistency
• Excellent durability
• Improved wokability and application properties
• Will not go drummy like traditional sand and cement renders

Macrender Coarse FR

MACRender Coarse FR is a coarse grade fibre-reinforced cementitious render for application to aerated concrete blocks and panels.

Key features include:

• Synthetic fibre reinforced for improved crack resistance
• Non-combustible according to Australian Standard AS 1530.1:1994 (R2016)
• Increased redispersible polymer concentration for enhanced adhesion
• Factory blended for optimum consistency
• Excellent durability
• Improved workability and application properties
• Will not go drummy like traditional sand and cement renders
• Just add water!

Macrender HBS

MACRender HBS is a high bond strength, medium grade cementitious render suitable for application to low porosity surfaces. Use over previously painted masonry surfaces, expanded polystyrene EIFS panels, thermoset phenolic and PIR EIFS panels, clay/concrete bricks and blocks, aerated concrete blocks/panels, existing cement renders.

Key features include:

• High polymer modification for excellent bond strength
• Factory blended for optimum consistency
• Excellent durability
• Improved workability and application properties
• Will not go drummy like traditional sand and cement renders
• Just add water!

Macrender HI Build

MACRender Hi Build is a lightweight polymer modified cementitious render formulated for thick section application. It is suitable for application to stable and porous masonry surfaces, and rough surfaces requiring a thicker render coat.

Key features include:

• Just add water
• Lightweight for improved sag resistance
• Factory blended for optimum consistency
• Excellent durability
• Improved wokability and application properties
• Will not go drummy like traditional sand and cement renders

AS 1530.1 NON-COMBUSTIBLE RENDERS

According to Australian Standard AS 1530.1:1994 (R2016), the following renders are now considered non-combustible materials:

• Macrender
• Macrender Coarse
• Sydney Coarse
• Supaskim
• Hi-Build (P)
• Coarse FR (fibre-reinforced)

Textured paints, not renders, are exempt under clause “C1.14 (L) Ancillary Elements”, of the Australian Building Code.

MAC textured paints & coatings are formulated using the same ingredients as a paint or "textured paint".

It is advisable to consult with your building surveyor for final approval prior to application.
